Cinco De Mayo

¡Hola, amigos! It’s Cinco de Mayo, and, to celebrate, we looked up how to type that upside down exclamation point. Today, we celebrate the Mexican victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Not Mexican Independence Day. That’s in September. Cinco de Mayo is a pretty big deal in America. The biggest Cinco celebration is in Los Angeles. Americans eat about 81 million avocados today alone. In Arizona, we race chihuahuas, and, in Colorado, we hold a chihuahua beauty contest. We drink a lot of margaritas, a lot of tequila, and beat the stuffing out of every piñata in sight. So, grab some guac, a margarita, and let’s toast to our next door neighbor. Salud.
P.S. It’s also Friend of Frank, Kate Forlenza’s birthday. ¡Feliz cumpleaños!
